How to track a title in FCPX?

I'm not sure if "track" is the right term, but what I want to do is make the title on my video appear to stay in place on the background as the camera pans toward it. It seems like this ought to be pretty easy but I can't find any way do it in FCPX.

Final Cut Pro title does not follow object tracker properly on a square project I've started learning how to use the object tracker in FCP. I've been mostly having success, but it is not working when I'm trying to use it on a square project. I have 16:9 footage from my camera and imported it into a 1:1 project. The object tracker can find and track objects perfectly fine according to the tracker bounding box. However, when I bind a title to the tracker, it randomly wanders off and does not follow the tracker properly. I feel like this has something to do with the fact I'm using 16:9 footage in a 1:1 project, but surely this is a common use case? (especially for instagram, etc.). The same behaviour happens with built in FCP titles or third party ones. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Final Cut Pro track and crop Hi, I'm trying to to cut some stuff from a landscape video to be vertical and crop it for some tiktoks, My question is how to I get the crop to move side to side following a person with the tracking feature, I have got the tracker ready I just don't understand how I can link it to the crop so the subject says in centre shot

How to add color board to title only, not the full clip? I'm editing wide gamut/HDR so for my titles to be white, I have to add a color board and jack up the exposure. When I do that with a title overlaying a clip, the exposure is increased on the clip too, even if I only have the title selected. Obviously I'm new to Final Cut so I need a bit of help making this work. In the interim, I added the title as its own clip, but I need to overlay the footage and be white. Any help is greatly appreciated. Loving the software so far, btw!
