"Critical Update" loop
Hi, guys!
Problem: my problem is similar to the one, described here: "Critical Update" loop
Behaviour. I first encountered it just a few hours after updated my MacBook Pro 15 2017 to 10.13.4 version.
My MacBook, unexpectedly and unprompted, shut off and when it booted back up it claimed there was an an error. I tried to look for error cause, but unsuccessfully: MacBook rebooted. And after that I went in "Critical Update" loop. "Critical software update" needed to be installed. So, naturally, I chose a WiFi network and did the update. This was before getting to the log in screen. Login succeeded, but after that I noticed that 1 of my 4 USB-C ports is not working (nor charging, nor connecting to external devices).
Also I noticed that the problem, described in link above, was 4 times upvoted just during today (monday, 2nd of April, 2018), from 13 to 17 persons.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Solution: SMC reset saved my MacBook & a lot of my unsaved work (which can not be said about my nerves...)
