Changing Apple ID on All Devices

I changed my apple ID and password but some devices have remained the old apple ID. I can't sign into he old ID in order to be able to sign out! How do I change the details on all my devices please?

MacBook (13-inch), iOS 5.1.1

Except potentially for the cloud, and then only if Find iPhone is 'on', you shouldn't have any problems signing out : What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

If it iCloud that you are having problems with you could try : If iCloud asks for the password to your previous Apple ID - Apple Support

Check the App Store and iTunes Store to see if there are any updates for apps/purchases. A request for an old Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the old ID. Those purchases are tied to the old ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the old ID and download them using the new ID if desired.

Hi King_Penguin. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it’s a more difficult problem than that.

I changed my Apple ID from an external email address to an iCloud address and then chose a new

Password also.

On my iPad I am now being asked to enter password for the old Apple ID which doesn’t actually exist anymore and the old password for that email sign-in doesn’t work.

There appears to be no option to enter my new Apple ID. Please help as I’ve been trying to work this out for hours!

I want to reset and erase the iPad but it won’t let me as it keeps asking for iCloud sign in with the old Apple ID - for which I have no password!

Thanks in anticipation!
