MacBook Pro pinch to zoom randomly not working

Hi community,

I have a MBP (see specs below) that has pinch to zoom enabled, and sometimes pinch to zoom randomly just stops working and other multi-finger actions work like normal (this happens regardless what app I'm in). I have to go to settings, disable it, then re-enable it several times to get it working again. this is pretty annoying and I'm just wondering if anybody else also has this problem and does anybody know how to solve it. thanks ( I had this problem multiple times and I didn't get to summarize a specific cause of this problem thus I think it's random)
