GarageBand Automation

Greetings,

I have a question re; GarageBand 10.2.

Frustratingly inconsistent are some of the control features that seem to appear or not appear at the whimsy of GarageBand. Of particular note is the "show/hide automation" control button that appears at the top of the track column (not the individual automation buttons that are track-specific). I have taken a snap of a current default (non-template) project, and you can see that the button is missing (see snapshot).

How do I get this button to show? Why is it sometimes missing?

Thank you for any thoughts towards this.

Regards,

DLC

for whatever "simplicity" reason, by default it is hidden until you begin using automation

Thank you, "Hangtime" for the response.

Yes, this shows the Automation for each specific track. What is missing is the main title bar button that sits next to the "Header" button. I can only guess, in the same (misguided) spirit of simplicity, that the button was removed for version 10.2, where it used to exist for ver. 10.1x.

Personally, I miss it.

Thank you for chiming in again.
