Changing MacBook keyboard sensitivity

Out of the clear blue, the keys on my MacBook have become much less responsive. I must sometimes hit a key three or four times to finally cause the corresponding letter to appear on the screen. I cannot find anything in Settings or System Preferences that seems to address this issue.

In order to change the sensitivity of your keyboard navigate to System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard. From there you should seem options that correspond to the speed of your keyboard. Make sure the "Enable Slow Keys" option is disabled.
