"Cloud Configuration For Device Invalid" Error During Configurator 2.7 Enrollment

After updating phones to iOS 11.3 and Apple Configurator to version 2.7, I am getting the following error:

An unexpected error has occurred.

Provisional enrollment failed.

The cloud configuration for this device is invalid.

[MCCloudConfigErrorDomain – 0x80EF (33007)]

This error occurs when using the "Prepare Devices" feature with the "Add to DEP" and "Activate and Complete Enrollment checked".

I tried adding a different Internet connection profile to the Configurator in case it was a network issue, but the error persists.

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions... what might I try to resolve the "invalid cloud configuration" error?

null-OTHER, iOS 11.3, Apple Configurator 2 version 2.7

After working with AirWatch on the issue for several weeks, the conclusion is that Configurator 2.7 is broken. Workaround is to uncheck the "Activate and Complete Enrollment" option, Supervise the device, then using the DEP console manually reassign the device serial number to the MDM server.

I have the same exact problem with an Iphone 5s and the same application versions so I think it's a bug in Apple Configurator 2 2.7 or IOS 11.3.

I tried with and without the "Activate and Complete Enrollment check" but I received the same error.
