Why is there a Exclamation mark next to the word calendar?

On my wife’s iPhone in her calendar, there is exclamation mark next to word calender. Why is it there and how do I get rid of it. We are also trying to subscribe to a calendar and it shows that she subscribed but it isn’t showing up in her calendar. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello danfromrichland,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like your wife's iPhone has an exclamation mark in the Calendar app on her iPhone. To help with this issue, please force close the Calendar app and restart her iPhone as iOS clears cached data and does other system optimizations when you turn your device off and on. Then go to Settings > Accounts & Passwords and make sure all the accounts are setup correctly and check the Calendar app again.

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
