In Numbers, is there a way to delete/modify old custom data formats for cells?

I am asking because it appears the "Edit Custom Format" is greyed out in my Apple Numbers (v.5.0 edit 5576).

Funny enough, it seems to work on a new document and also copying the whole table (the whole table was fine, didn't have to copy the content onto another table) worked ok by also retaining the new custom format.

I then thought it could be because the document is shared with a friend so I shared the new document (to myself): it states as "shared" but no signs of issues with the custom data format.

hurrah. Well, yes, but this had happened before and I wish I knew why and how it happens... On a good side note, I can still copy the table and start afresh...

Thanks, Ian.

******** EDIT ******

No. I have now shared it with my friend (hence: a different Apple ID) and I've got into the same issue, again.

******* SECOND EDIT ****

Yep. It's consistent. I've ended the collaboration and I got the function back. Activated the sharing again and lost it. Well... now we know. Question would then be: is it intended to be so?

Hi Luca,

It is working OK here.

Try these steps one at a time:

  1. Save your documents.
  2. Quit Numbers.
  3. Restart Numbers and open the misbehaving document. Any improvement? If not, try step 4.
  4. Copy the content of that document and paste into a new, blank document. Any improvement? If not, try step 5.
  5. Restart your machine. Any improvement?

If no improvement, you may need to delete and download Numbers again.

Regards,

Ian.
