I am unable to put music from iTunes on my computer to my iPhone

I have done this previously with no issue but now when I select add to device nothing happens

See Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB - Apple Support or Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support. If your device is synced perhaps you need to update the sync selections.
