I have some images in my .mov file that I want to go to the absolute top of the image in full-screen mode. (I'm creating the images in FCP7.) But when I hit command-F in Quicktime for full-screen mode, there's a black bar across the top (and sides and bottom). For my purposes this is wasted space that I need to make use of. Any way to get a real full screen without the black frame?

Is the movie the same aspect ratio as your monitor? E.g., a 16:9 movie on 16:10 monitor may get some black padding automatically in Full Screen mode.
Does the windowed view of the movie show any black border? E.g. QuickTime Player may treat black parts of the video as content that has to be shown.
Switching between ⌘3 Fit to Screen (letterbox/pillarbox) and ⌘4 Fill Screen (crop) may be the zoom-to-fit that you are looking for?
