unable to install Mac OS 10.13.4 on MacBook Pro 6.2 (mid 2010 model

Both my collegue and I have tried to install Mac OS 10.13.4 on to our MacBook Pro 6.2 (mid 2010 models) without success, on the required restart the computer will reboot to a gray sceen and be completely unresponsive, both of us have had to revert to 10.13.3, has anyone had success running this latest version on a MacBook Pro 6.2?

Thanks, David.

You are lucky enough to own the Edsel of all Macs. The problem may be due to the discrete GPU failing. Download gfxCardStatus 2.3 and use it to disable the discrete GPU. This is a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard or the computer replaced.

The above link will not work under Sierra in which case you should try using gfxCardStatus.app.zip.
