Creative A250 speakers white noise High Sierra 10.13.4

Sound just White Noise after High Sierra 10.13.4 update for Creative A250 (5.1) Speaker System with Down-firing Ported Subwoofer

I've just updated my Mac Mini (Late 2012) latest 10.13.4 and there is nothing but white noise coming out of my speakers (Creative A250 (5.1) Speaker System with Down-firing Ported Subwoofer)

Has anyone else had any similar encounters? I'm still waiting for an answer back from Creative but can only think High Sierra 10.13.4 is to blame.

Hi wristtattoo,

I understand that since updating your Mac mini, you are only hearing white noise from your Creative speakers. I'm happy to provide some help for this issue.

First, I recommend resetting your NVRAM, which can impact some sound settings:

How to reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
If this doesn't help, test this out with another set of speakers, or try your speakers connected to another device. This will help you isolate where the issue is.
