Apple Watch series 3

i have read many comments and I have the same issue. my touch screen does not work properly with a screen protector. i firat started out with the case shield you snap on the face of the watch. That did not work but if the watch was off my wrist it worked no problem. But I wasent going to take the watch off my wrist just to use it so I returned the case and bought a screen protector I put on like you would put one on your phone. The same exact issue. Only off my wrist will it work. And now I can get my $40 back for the screen protector cause I can’t return it. I’m frustrated cause I spent a lot of money to get my Apple Watch and I don’t want to take off my protector cause I may hurt the screen. Any one know how to solve this issue? PS my grammar ***** I know! Lol

The reason for this is because the Apple Watch, like it's older siblings the iPhone and the iPad, is designed to be used without a screen protector. The screen has many layers of protection already on it along with the glass being much harder than regular glass. Quite honestly, you are more likely to scratch the metal bezel surrounding the screen than the screen itself.

As far as the issues working, the Apple Watch is designed to "see" (for lack of a better word) with specific amounts of pressure. When you put a case or screen protector on the Watch, it throws the calibration off. On an iPhone and iPad, it simply makes the device work harder (which can shorten the lifespan). On an Apple Watch where the size and tolerances are so much more exact, it can and likely will stop it from working properly.

FWIW, I'm on my third Apple Watch (I upgrade when a new one is released), and all my leftovers have found happy, loving homes and are still running fine and none of them have ever had a screen protector.
