number lines in Pages

I found an easier way to number lines in a Pages document! While it's still not perfect, it helped me. I hope it helps you, too!

This would be more useful as it lets your text flow and remain easily editable.


Set a single column Table with an equal exact line height to your text (in this case 18pts), down the side of your text:


User uploaded file User uploaded file


Drag down the line numbers to create the sequence and remove all borders and fills.


If you want the same line numbers on every page (you reference text by Page Number.Line Number) move the Table to the Section Master so it repeats on every page.
