Hi,
Make sure that you have also updated to the most recent version of iMovie, version 10.1.9 that came out a couple of days ago.
The error code indicates that you probably have some corruption in your movie at the 3/4 mark that is causing the rendering to abort. It could be a title, transition, or clip. Try scrolling slowly through your project around the 3/4 mark and look for any black clips, white flashes, artifacts, or other signs of corruption. If you find anything, crop it out and try sharing out again. Sometimes removing transitions solves it. Or it could be a corrupt font in a title, in which case you can change the title or font. To check the font you can do a font validation from the Font Book app in your Applications folder.
You might try trimming off 4 or 5 frames from the first clip in your project and see if that cures it. That very unintuitive procedure has worked to fix failed sharing with a similar error message.

Ah. Thank you. Funny how corruptions can hide themselves.

Hi Rich Thank you for replying. I have got the most recent update for iMovie.
But you are right I went to where the rendering stopped but I could not see any imperfections.
After testing several times I cut a small section out and went through the process again and all was well.
Probably the update was a coincidence.
Thank you once again.
Best Regards
Peter
Hi, Peter,
Glad it worked out. Did you cut the 4 or 5 frames from the beginning of the movie? Or did you remove some media around the 3/4 mark? It might help others who experience the Error 10008 issue.

Hi Rich,
I cut from the 3/4 mark, trial & error by cutting and replacing media until I got the result.
