apple pencil doesnt like to be used as a pointing device iOffice apps latest updates.

In the latest updates to Pages, Numbers and Keynote the Apple Pencil is now leveraged to draw pictures, hand write notes or otherwise annotate a document. It does this brilliantl. However, that is not always the goal. Sometimes we just need a reliable pointing device to : highlight text, resize an image and other basic functions. Prior to the last updates the was easy to accomplish. Unfortunately now, its draw a picture first, then fix your stuff after. Is there a way to temporarily disable the drawing features in iOffice for times when they are inappropriate ?
