MacBook Pro screen flickering solution

This is obviously a known issue and apple doesn’t do anything about it. They’re corrupt and incompetent. This is my last apple product EVER. And I started owning apple computers in the 1990s—-Anyone remember the LC-II and the Performa series? I AM DONE WITH APPLES OVERPRICED CRAP TODAY THOUGH!!!!!!

Has anyone tried the new Mojave OS? Has anyone experienced a screen flicker when waking their Macs from sleep while running Mojave??? I would like to know before upgrading to Mojave as I've seen a lot of people having problems trying to install it.

Me too, after a clean install of Mojave on a late 2016 MBP: flicker, flicker, flicker. At least it's less noticeable with dark appearance windows. Oh Apple, dear apple, this one's a lemon and I fear, that after 24 years in your arms, we must part although I rest assured that other caring and capable suitors eagerly await my personal computing dollars.

If your mac is still under warranty, try to replace it. My mac had similar issues and now it is not even 2 years since I bought it. Was asked to replace motherboard twice. Replaced it once when it was under warranty. Now it is no longer working. Decided to buy a cheaper computer. Apple no longer invests in quality. Then why pay a higher price?

This sound like the MacKeeper trojan has infected your system. Beware of Googling how to remove it as the search results include the MacKeeper trojan so if your problem isn't due to it you will inadvertently install it.

It is such a malevolent infection I'm unclear as to why Apple doesn't have a clear and unambiguous solution posted somewhere prominent for all Apple users to access. My son recently suffered from at university in the last week of his essays. One tell-tale sign, apart from the flickering and the mouse pointer being uncontrollable, is tediously long boot-up time.

I'm going to check out a different forum with a question about it in case anyone has a definitive way to remove it. Booting in Safe Mode and then applying MalwareBytes scan worked for my son initially but it came back after a couple of hours. I think as well as the scan some files need to be removed manually but which ones and where are they? Without removing them it seems to redownload itself or in some way reinstall itself.

I've owned mine for two months, never installed Firefox and I'm having the issue - so, I would say the two are not necessarily related!

Is there an answer? Since I updated, my screen flickers every 15 seconds. This is crazy.

This just happened with mine this morning then the flickering began! Turquoise/green colored screen then the wallpaper login screen!

I have a 2017 2TB maxed out 15" model.

Why would I continue to update when the update is the cause of the issue?

I have not tried updating to .6 yet.

Your issue does not sound like most of these other issues. Yours sounds like a RAM memory problem. You should have your computer checked over at an Apple-owned store, if available to you.
