Laptop auto-connects to xfinity wifi

How do I stop my Macbook pro from automatically connecting to Xfinity wifi? It does this every time I restart my laptop even though I have repeatedly deleted this from my preferred wifi networks. I have also disabled this in my comcast account. I have never used this hotspot service and I want my laptop to connect to my own network, obviously. Thanks.

Thanks for your response. I had already removed xfinity wifi from my preferred networks, but it still appears in the drop town from the menubar. When I restart my computer it automatically tries to connect to this network even though it is not on my list of preferred networks.

Open System Preferences > Network then click the Advanced tab then click the Wi-Fi tab.

You can drag and drop preferred Wi-Fi networks from there then click OK.
