iMac very slow since update, beachballing

Hello everyone,

Since installing the new update (10.13.4), my iMac (late 2013) is losing performance. Straight after the update everything seemed to work fine. Then, from one day to the other, my iMac booted very slowly and beachballed frequently, especially when I tried to access the Finder or the Dock (Finder didn't react anymore).

What I already tried:
- starting in safe mode

- DIsk utility/first aid

- repairing permissions

- resetting PRam and NVRam
