Wifi connectivity issue only with Huawei router

I have purchased new IPhone 8 Plus, it is connecting to all WiFi devices except my home device (Huawei router) model HG659.

I cannot understand why because all mobiles are connecting with my Huawei router except my Iphone 8 Plus. Even my wife also bought new Iphone 8 plus and surprisingly her IPhone is connecting with the same WiFi router. I have tried all things from restarting my Iphone and router and even tried reset network settings. I have tried it before updation and after updation to IOS 11.3 but the result was same, I could not connect my Iphone to my home WiFi router.

My IPhone 8 Plus is showing the sign shown in the picture. It is continuously reading when I enter correct WiFi password, but not connecting. If I enter incorrect password, it also gives message of incorrect password. It is surprising for me because I have another IPhone 8 Plus and that one is connecting to same WiFi (Huawei) router easily, and both IPhone 8 Plus have updated IOS 11.3 installed in them.


Please note that my IPhone 8 Plus is connecting on all other WiFi routers except my home WiFi (Huawei) router.

If these steps don't resolve your issue, follow this section:

Get more help

  • If someone else set up your network, ask them for help. If you’re using a network at a company, school, hotel, store, or other free Wi-Fi location, find an employee for assistance.
  • If you're connected to a Wi-Fi network but you can’t get online, try to use your Wi-Fi network on other devices. If you can’t get online using your other devices, there might be a service outage. Call your cable company or internet provider for help.
  • Try connecting to a Wi-Fi network in a different location. If your device can connect, you need to get help with your Wi-Fi network. If your device can’t connect to any Wi-Fi networks, contact Apple.
  • Update your Wi-Fi router with the latest firmware and make sure that the router supports your Apple product. For more information, contact the router's manufacturer.
