Using Apple Car Play in a 2018 Peugeot 208

I have recently purchased a Peugeot 208 which comes with Apple Car Play. I have never used this before so what I am about to ask could just be normal behaviour for Car Play, but I thought I might as well ask it anyway.

I connect my iPhone 7+ to my Car Play via the lighting cable, Car Play kicks in and apart from a few funny little things it does everything looks to work all OK. The only issues that I have is when I disconnect my iPhone and want to go back to just listing to the radio, the Peugeot radio looses it last station and just goes back to either a un-named static FM station or a random radio station, it never goes back to the station I had set before connect my iPhone. This happens if I have it set to either AM/FM/DAB.

The car dealership that I purchased the car from are not being much help and due to one other car doing the same thing as mine they are telling me it's normal behaviour with Car Play, but to me it just seams a little strange to have this happen. Peugeot are telling me that I have the latest update for Car Play and for my cars media system.

Does anybody else using Car Play have this issues or anything similar? Also, this occurs when using Bluetooth.
