System preferences tells me "To finish changing your password, enter your new password in Settings" ... fine. I'm ready! but I click Continue, then Details, and there's no change password screen. Bonkers! Is there a way to make Mac OS happy here?

I didn't realize what a big deal it is to sign out of iCloud from the Mac and sign in again. Lots of time and steps. At this moment, my calendar is still a blank slate. I cannot see if my events still exist on iCloud.com because it just clocks.
Sys Prefs. Calendar has (finally) repopulated my events.
Can you sign out and then back in using the new password?
