Hello Pinz2007,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are unable to play music when your iPhone is paired to your car stereo via Bluetooth. I would be happy to help point you in the right direction from here.

If the music appears to be playing on the iPhone but there is no sound from the car stereo, try switching the audio output on your iPhone following the steps here:

Switch the audio on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

While the following resource is for help with connecting your iPhone to your car stereo, it has some relevant troubleshooting steps to try for this issue:

Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo - Apple Support

Specifically, follow the steps in this section:

If you're using Bluetooth

  1. Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.
  3. Restart your iOS device.
  4. On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.
  5. Update your iOS device.
  6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.

Cheers!
