New iPad and Clips and Apple Store Apps won’t update

That’s actually true and that was really helpful thank you. But, only launching the app might not work, i suggest that you click on the app itself then click update rather than automatically just updating from “updates” that’s how it worked for me atleast.

I had the same issue. I updated the software, did a reset, and even took it to the apple store. I eventually did an exchange and when I set up the second iPad Pro had the same issue. This time around I removed all of the settings and set the iPad up manually, and issue has been resolved for me. Give it a try and see if it helps.

I had the same issue and had tried to open the apps first. What fixed it for me was deleting the apps and starting over, searching for them in the app store and redownloading.

Deleted the apps by holding down the icon for the app until they 'shake' and press the X in the upper left corner of the app icon. Hope this helps someone!!

Also, I did not realize that when it said 'Apple Store' for one of the apps, that's not the actual app store just an app to purchase other apple products.

I found I had to launch those two apps first then update them when prompted rather than update them from the App Store app directly.

It seems that you have to open clips that on your iPad, then it will automatically update itself.

You should click the apps first then you should go for update option. I was facing same issues but after following this my problem was solved...

Clips icon is missing but shows up in settings. Can’t launch or update. Can’t redownload. So far nothing works with this app
