kearning text broken?

Used to be able to put your cursor between letters in the title inspector and adjust the kearning individually. Very handy when using "small caps" due to the wildly inaccurate kearning. In 10.4.1, this doesn't work anymore.

Can anyone else try?

If you're talking about the Command-Option - left/right bracket keyboard shortcuts, the text in the Canvas must be selected and the cursor set at the point of the kern, not the text in the Inspector.

For both locations (canvas and text inspector) if you set a cursor point, then select the Kerning *value* in the inspector, you can use the up and down arrow keys to adjust kerning by whole numbers. If you hold down the Option key, the Kerning will adjust by tenths (0.1) and holding down the Shift key will adjust by 10s.
