MacBook Pro GPU leak

My MacBook Pro with external monitor runs out of GPU memory, slowly, until the video gets so slow that scrolling isn't controllable. This was discussed before in this thread, but there's been little reported about it recently. If you'd like to monitor the situation, and see your GPU memory utilization grow to 100%, install the XRG Tool. I have had to resort to rebooting every other day, and any better solution to the problem would be welcome.
