5th Generation iPads not connecting to WIFI

I have dozens of 5th Generation iPads that stopped connecting to the school's WIFI. I also have dozens more new ones that will not connect. I tried manually configuring the IP settings and it worked fine but not with the automatic configuration. All other devices - Chromebooks, laptops, phones, older iPads connect to the WIFI without any problems. I tried everyting - reset the network, forget the network, restore the iPads without success. This is getting frustrating with these iPads.
