can’t find restrictions password, do not have back up on iTunes, just on iCloud. Can I connect the old iPad to Wi-Fi, go to my find my iPad app, and just erase everything so it resets to factory settings?
I know my lock password, and I know my Apple ID and password. But it seems I cannot reset the old iPad without knowing the four digit restrictions password. Help

I don’t know when the Restrictions four digit password was set up. iPad was given to me by a friend, totally new and not set up. She received two iPads for a book order she made as a librarian. One day I happened upon it, and so it is probably in all the backups. The reset should get rid of my Apple ID, iCloud password, and the iPad 4 lock screen password, So that I do not have to reset them from my iPad 5 which I have now.
If I go to the Find my iPad application and use it to erase my content on the iPad 4, can a student that I want to give it to still use it with all the factory resets? I have tried eight times to figure out the restrictions password, with no luck. I don’t think it should interfere with any of the apps the student needs, that were originally on the new iPad 4.
I am just concerned that it will not let him set up his own settings for the iPad4 after I erase my Settings. The restrictions passcode never interfered with my use of that iPad 4.
So my major question is can I just reset the iPad 4 to factory settings with the applications it came with, Even if Icloud
backups reinstalls the unremovable restrictions password.
Maybe I should disconnect iCloud back up, for iPad 4, Before I go to find my iPhone and erase the content.
I want my student to set up his own iPad, and his own iCloud connection, totally separate from mine.
Finally, why is this Restrictions password so difficult to eliminate?
In response to your last question. Many people (parents) use restrictions to prevent in app purchases, or accessing specific apps or content. If it was easy to remove - the kids would do so. It shouldn't be hard for the person that established the restriction passcode to remove it. Just anyone else.
You can do that, but if the device was backed up to iCloud with the restrictions passcode set, it will still be there.
