Apple watch not counting steps and calories

So I’ve done all the trouble shooting on here and my watch is still not tracking steps and calories. At first it was just calories, after doing the trouble shooting, now it’s steps and calories.

Sortware is up to date. Restarted both phone and watch. Unpair and paired it several times. Checked that all my track setting are correct. Not sure whay else it can be.

Please can anyone help.

So I finally found a fix. I went to the iStore and they told me I must unpair it and pair iit again as a new watch. I didn’t want to do it as I didn’t want to lose my history. Googled a bit more and it turns out resetting the watch on the watch fixed the problem.

You dont sat exactly what troubleshooting steps you followed, so I will outline what usually works.

1. Make sure you have Wrist Detect enabled.

2. Confirm you have iOS 11.3 on your phone and Watch OS 4.3, “latest” is always open to interpretation.

2. Go into (iPhone) Watch app, Privacy, and reset the Activity Calibration Data.

3. On your iPhone look in the Health app, Sources and make sure the correct devices are listed with priority. You can also see the activity recorded by your watch here minute by minute.

4. Make a short test, either by walking for a few minutes or “fake it” by swinging your watch arm as if walking hard for a few minutes. Give it a minute or two for the watch to update the display, it is not always instant.

If that doesn’t work you probably need to get you watch checked by Apple at your local Apple Store.

The best method I have found is to start online. Go to Official Apple Support as appropriate for wherever you are in the world, and pick the Contact Support link at the top of page. If you have AppleCare + have your details ready, and get the serial number for your watch (in the Watch app on your phone) before you start. I went for the callback option when I had a problem with the microphone on my watch, and got great help over the phone before they decided it was defective and made the Genius Bar appointment for me.
