Printer's 'Scan' Tab Not Showing

I have a Brother MFC-J475DW printer that I have connected by USB to my MacBook and I finally got it to actually show up in my Printer & Scanners, but It only shows me it's printing options. I remember when I was using my brother's MacBook to use the printer, there'd be 2 tabs, one being for scanning, but I don't see it anymore. I've already checked several times for any software updates, restarting my laptop, and removing & readding the printer, but I can't find a resolution for this. I've tried seeing if Image Capture would work but the printer doesn't even show up in my devices. What should I do?

Also I'm aware in this screenshot it says it's offline; that's just because I'm not connected to my printer as of right now.
