My iPhone X is water damaged.. what can I do?

Hardware service is restricted to the country of purchase. You will have to wait until you get back to Canada.

You warranty does not cover water damage. The claim is that iPhone is water resistant, not waterproof.

You need to have bought Apple care + to cover up to two incidents of water damage.

But as an extention to the Warranty, it must still be activated in the country from where it was first purchased.

Best bet is low tech if not covered by warranty once you get back to Canada. Put your phone in rice and leave it there for 24-48 hours. Rice will pull water away from phone.

It is far to late to consider anything that nature, if it should be considered at all.

The corrosion will have begun to take effect though the extent and timing of the effects is unpredictable.

Rice leaves dust and debris and only the small packets of silicon may have some benefit.
