I have recently purchased a Mac Book Pro with touch bar and Touch ID and want to transfer my photographs from Canon Power shot G9X. struggling to get the Mac to recognise the camera, have been trying to do this through WIFI- (though I have been able transferred photos onto iPod? not sure what I doing wrong?

If you want to use the standard macOS-included Photos app, then you can import from there.
If you want to use Canon software, that is also possible.

Thank you for your help- I have connected the camera to the Mac via the cables - is there a procedure I can follow for next steps as nothing is happening - or is there an app I need to down load?
