how to connect Canon Power Shot G9x to new Mac Book Pro

I have recently purchased a Mac Book Pro with touch bar and Touch ID and want to transfer my photographs from Canon Power shot G9X. struggling to get the Mac to recognise the camera, have been trying to do this through WIFI- (though I have been able transferred photos onto iPod? not sure what I doing wrong?

If you want to use the standard macOS-included Photos app, then you can import from there.


If you want to use Canon software, that is also possible.

• Digital Photo Professional 4.8.20 (working with RAW images)

• Map Utility (geotagging)

• CameraWindow DC 8.10.11b (the wireless copy/share functionality)
