How to stop Bluetooth setup assistant

If your mac is already booting then,

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click Bluetooth.
  3. Click Advanced…
  4. Uncheck Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if no keyboard is detected.
  5. Uncheck Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if no mouse or trackpad is detected.
  6. Click Ok

If on the startup then nothing would work.

No safe mode nor pressing shift key or any other thing.

The only thing you could try which worked for me was to open the back lid and see if any screw is loose,do this at your own risk or else getting it serviced is the only option left if you are under warranty

..Seems the symptom and your resolution aren't congruent..

If loose screws were an answer, someone may have been inside

the Mac and not been tidy upon exiting. An NVRAM reset or an

SMC reset (follow pre-reset ideas) may have otherwise worked.

You may have tried to start in Safe boot mode; as most things get

checked and some repaired once started there. You'd log in to your

Admin account for Safe boot to work; and restart normally to quit.

Never had issue with exiting Bluetooth setup. There may have been

some other aspect of bluetooth involved; perhaps used by another

device such as iPhone or wireless mouse, etc. I've some of these.

To physically open products to deal with software issues is a bit much.

But not unheard of. Less so if you have a backup system to use as a

troubleshooting measure. Or a clone. (Or macOS recovery + utilities.)
