Can't open a website when URL has "secure" before it.

I can open the <bhg.com> website but when the URL has "secure" before it I can't proceed. I went to Safari Preferences and clicked on Privacy and then clicked on Managing Websites. I deleted the website. The first and second times after doing so I was able to open <securebhg.com> but no longer. I even tried using Firefox and then Googled the website with no success. There is a gray lock next to the URL.

I am using a MacBook Air MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.4 and Safari version 11.1.

I have tried every suggestion I've found on the internet.

Any help is most appreciated!

The login page for their site is at https://secure.bhg.com/ with https and a dot between secure and bhg.

The ‘secure’ part in the address name is nothing special (naming it secure doesn’t make it secure; there’s more to it). They could have called it ‘foo’ with the same functionality, although the former describes it better. 🙂

Have you tried deleting the cookie again?

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode.

Safe Mode Startup – El Capitan. also Sierra

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.
