Help I spilled coffee on my MacBook pro

This morning I spilled an entire cup of hot black coffee on my keyboard of my MacBook Pro. The screen immediately went blank. I took a cotton town and dried it off externally and am letting it dry upside down on some cookie racks. The computer tried to turn back on and I immediately turned it off. I used a hairdryer on cool to dry a bit more out. What’s the best way to handle liquid damage???.
