Right click not correcting spelling in gmail on chrome on my Macbook air

I am a gmail user using in Chrome on my Macbook and while it effectively identifies the spelling mistakes as I type by underlining in red, when i right click on the misspelled word the menu that pops up no longer includes the suggested spelling correction which means i have to manually correct each mistake which is a big time waste. Ive not changed any settings and my OS, Chrome and Gmail are all on the latest version. Help please 😟
