Rash under watch sensor section

I have been wearing a 38 mm face aluminum case series 2 watch since July 2017. I wear it on the underside of my left wrist to prevent hitting the face on walls. I wear it most the time except when showering, including at night. I have had any skin reactions until yesterday. This page won’t let me post the image but it is similar to the size of the sensor face of the watch. I wiped down the watch and band with isopropyl in case it was poisen ivy and I’m wesring on my right wrist for 24 hrs without a reaction. I don’t know of any metal allergies. I wear a Milanese band with the tension enough to keep it still with a slight pressure mark left when removed.

With your history of wearing for several years without problems it is unlikely to be anythe game like an allergic reaction. Most likely you got something irritant trapped under your watch, and the watch blocked your natural movements clearing it quickly. You will probably never find out for sure what it was, maybe something as simple as extended contact with something like soap, or even just prolonged moisture from trapped perspiration. If it doesn’t clear quickly it might be worth checking with your doctor - use your own judgement.

This appears to be poison ivy as rashes between a couple of fingers and small spots on my other wrist developed over the following days. Not sure why the largest patch developed first where the watch and shirt sleeve covered the skin, but I was cleaning up some dead brush two days earlier.

Been wearing the watch on my other wrist without further reaction.
