We bought iPhone7 6 months ago from Apple Store, it is for use with T-Mobile. We are trying to switch to Verizon and was told the phone is not compatible With Verizon! Will Apple Store exchange the phone? is it a good move to switch to Verizon’s technology? (We do travel internationally). Thank you.

As far as the iPhones, they can either support CDMA or GSM (not both simultaneously) which are two basic mobile phone technologies. In the US, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular use CDMA. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM. Most of the rest of the world also uses GSM.
... so this is the issue when you wanted to switch carriers from T-Mobile to Verizon. For world travel, you will want a phone that works with GSM. Again, in the US, that leaves you with either AT&T or, as you have now, T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is a GSM carrier, and Verizon's legacy network is CDMA. The T-Mobile GSM phone does not have the hardware to support CDMA (or Verizon). Apple will not exchange the phone this long after purchasing it; exchanges are limited to 14 days from date of purchase. Your T-Mobile phone IS compatible with AT&T if it is SIM-unlocked.
