power cord plugged in, orange, but not charging.

Hi. The other day my macbook pro's charger was not turning on or showing any lights and wasn't charging or being acknowledged by my computer so i had to buy a new one. This new one shows the lights fine, and is acknowledged by the computer, but it won't charge the battery.

Up in the top right it shows that it is connected but the battery symbol is transparent and says that it isn't charging the battery but is taking power from the cord.

I have reset the SMC two times now and that hasn't helped. I've let it cool down as well.

The only thing I can think of is that the new one I bought is 3rd party, because my Aunt's power cord which is apple charged it just fine. Any help, because I can't find anywhere that sells official Apple Macbook pro cables.
