Java SE6 runtime problem

Has there been a definitive solution as yet on to how to download the java SE6 runtime link from the Apple website?

I have El Capitan 11.1.5 and cannot run my Adobe CS5 applications. As others have found, the link to download the legacy software on the Apple website is blank.

Is there a way of downloading and installing the Java SE6 runtime fix?

Any help would be gratefully received.

iMac, iOS 10.1.1, El Capitan

Dear Eau Rouge

Thank you very much for your help with this. In the end the solution was a simple one: use another browser... in this case one that begins with C. The offending page - which won't show the button - appeared in all it's glory and the Java download then took place. Everything is now working in CS5.

By the way, is your nom de plume anything related to a certain corner on a Belgian motor racing circuit? Even if not I thank you for a very quick route to where I wanted to be...

If you are using Safari please make sure that under Safari>Preferences>Security that

Web Content: Enable Java Script is checked. This should reveal the Download button.

Restart Safari.

If you still cannot see the button, try and click on the portion of the screen where the button should be.

It may work. Or another browser.
