Java 6 on Mojave

I have updated to OSX Mojave and now I can't install java 6 on my macbook. I need this java version for an old app. Anyone who knows where to find this java version? I have tried to download legacy Java SE 6 from Apple, but it won't install on Mojave.

MacBook Pro, macOS Mojave (10.14)

How to install Java SE 6 on macOS Mojave? Hello, I'm trying to install the Java Runtime Enviroment 6 on macOS Mojave, because one of my programs requires it. Unfortunately this official link: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=cs_CZ does not work. The installation will launch however when selecting a disk to install Java "Macintosh HD" can not be selected, because "It already contains a newer version of the package." Any help will be much appreciated, Josef Solin

I had the same issue. I downloaded 3 times and then the last time I clicked on the file and it loaded. Not sure why it took 3 attempts.
