MacBook Pro Screen is Dark

My Macbook Pro early 2015 edition started up normall. I keyed my password in. The main screen came on and then it went pitch black. The keyboard is backlit. I tried powering it off and then on again. The startup sound chimes in but the screen stays dark. The keyboard is however backlit.
