Apple Pay without disabling auto login??

Can I use apple pay with macbook pro touch by using my iPhone as you would with non touch macbooks instead of disabling auto login?

My wife has an iMac with auto login and it works fine just by using Face ID on her iPhone X. Can't I do the same with my MBP touch???

thanks,

tom

whoops... thanks for the reference.

I have auto login and the only way I can set up the Apple Pay card is to turn it off...but apple recognizes the mbp touch and will not let me use Apple Pay with auto login turned on ...when I turned it off and set up Apple Pay, I then tried to turn it back on and it pops up and says it will disable any cards in Apple Pay if I turn on auto login.

There MUST BE SOME WORKAROUND for this...no way to I want to give up auto login and I'd like to use Apple Pay just as my wife can on a non-touch keyboard... maybe I should sell my mbp and upgrade to an older one :-)

thanks,

tom
