cmd-+ shortcut not working

Thanks for your response. Your comment helped me to solve this issue.

For testing purposes I assigned:

1. # to do the zoom and it worked.

2. Then I assigned Cmd-+ to quit the program and it worked.

3. Then I changed Cmd-+ back to Zoom and now this also works.

So its seems even Cmd-+ was "officially" assigned it was somehow not connected.

I just check the shortcut on my second computer (1st iMac, 2nd MacBook Pro) and same error there. Could it be that a different application or plugin might interfere with this shortcut? I stopped all other software running and had only FCPX open.

I will try to re-install FCPX.

After a complete uninstall (deleting everything incl. system preferences etc.) and a fresh install the error is still there. Might be a bug. I will report it to Apple.

Thanks for your response. Sorry, yes cmd-+ is what I meant. I corrected the post.

Do you mean trashing the preferences for the whole system or just FCPX?

Thanks! FCPX preferences were reset but the error is still there.

Thanks Tom! Neither is working not the Cmd-+, which I have used for years, nor the Cmd-=.

Thanks Tom. Tried this with no success. Yes, it is very strange and I haven't read about it anywhere.
