Fotostream

A simple question. When I take a photo with my iphone and have fotostram enabled on the iphone and the mac, will the photo be downloaded locally to my mac in addition to the Fotostream folder automatically, or do I have to do that manually,so as not to loose the photo after 30 days?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.4

To answer your question: Photostream keeps photos for 30 days or 1000 photos (whatever is reached last). If you don't take many photos you can have them (if you don't reach 1000 photos) for many moths back.


But Photostream was not meant to be a service for important photos, so I would recomend to use either iCloud/Google Photos or to manually save on your disk the photos you consider important.
