Hard Drive not recognized in Target Disk Mode

I have connected a MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air via a Thunderbolt Cable in hopes of transferring my data, which I had verified was still accessible on my Pro. However, the hard drive is not appearing on the Air.

Hi,

Booting MacBook Pro in Recovery mode and repair HDD with DiskUtility then try Target Disk mode to connect to Air.
