Advanced Mac Cleaner victim

I'm an idiot and was scammed by the Advanced Mac Cleaner app. Paid & called & everything. Was on the phone with them for 20 minutes when things got really suspicious and I decided to cancel the communication. For those who got this far as well, what do I need to be worried about? I'm not tech savvy (obviously cause this happened to me before i thought to google the app first) so I'm paranoid they got access to all my files or identity or something crazy. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Hi,

If it were me I'd change my administrator password > Change or reset the password of a macOS user account

And change my Apple ID password > Change your Apple ID password

Just to be on the safe side ...

If you allowed them access to your computer, you should erase and reformat your hard drive, then restore your computer from a backup made prior to when you allowed them access. Change your passwords and other critical information also. You don't know what software might have been installed. If you paid them by credit card, contact the credit card company, and close out the credit card.
