Trouble updating OS

Hello,

I am using a 2013 model of macbook air andI am having a trouble with updating my OS. I've already installed High Sierra and after it restarted it didn't change and it's still on OS X version 10.9.5 and it says that there are no updates available. I've already tried restarting my macbook twice. How do I fix this?

Thanks!

Hi,

"still on OS X version 10.9.5 and it says that there are no updates available."

In that case your Mac isn't running v10.13 High Sierra.

Check the startup disk for errors ..

Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.

From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to verify and repair the disk if necessary using macOS Recovery.
